Company Introduction
Nova Pharma Solutions Berhad (“the Company”) is principally involved in the provision of engineering solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. We are capable of providing engineering solutions ranging from pre-design, design, post-design and other supporting activities. Some of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology plants that we have involved comprise of oral solid dosage, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, vaccine filling and finishing as well as ophthalmic manufacturing.
Company History
2005
Malaysia office was founded as a joint venture company between Jebsen & Jessen together with Pharmaplan. Located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, and acted as a local presence consultant office for South East Asia.
2007
Acquisition of Pharmaplan GmbH by Novo Nordisk Engineering A/S (“NNE”). Our Company was renamed as NNE Pharmaplan Sdn Bhd.
2008
Completion a Turnkey project in Monoclonal Antibodies (mAb) Facility with Modular Approach for Inno Biologics.
2011
Completion of Turnkey project in R&D Herbal Laboratory for Biotropics.
2012
First project execution in Taiwan-conceptual design review involving Monoclonal Antibodies Facility for PharmaEssentia Corporation.
2014
MSC Status Approval.
2015
Our Company changed name to Nova Pharma Solutions Sdn Bhd and became NNE’s engineering collaboration partner with conditional first right of refusal in case NNE plans to provide services to customers in Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines.
2018
- Company listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and now known as Nova Pharma Solutions Berhad.
- Obtained ISO 9001 certification.
2019
- Set-up a 51% subsidiary, namely, Nova HiTech Solutions Sdn Bhd, to undertake turnkey or EPCC projects.
The history of the Company as an engineering solutions service provider dates back to 2005 when its then holding company, Jebsen & Jessen Engineering (SEA) Pte Ltd formed a joint venture with Pharmaplan International GmbH. Pursuant to the joint venture, the Company was known as JJ-Pharmaplan Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd. In year 2007, the Company was renamed as NNE Pharmaplan Sdn Bhd when Novo Nordisk Engineering A/S (“NNE”) acquired Pharmaplan GmbH. Since then, NNE Pharmaplan Malaysia Sdn Bhd has become one of the leading engineering consulting companies in the complex field of pharma and biotech. Between the year of 2007 and 2012, the company has completed many pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects for clients in South East Asia (“S.E.A”). In the year of 2012, the Company has carried out its first biotechnology project execution in Taiwan and has since established itself as one of the leading engineering consultants for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in Taiwan.
In the year of 2014, the Company obtained MSC status approval and in 2015, the key management staff of the Company has completed a MBO with NNE and the Company was subsequently renamed as Nova Pharma Solutions Sdn Bhd. 2018 has been a fruitful year for us as the Company has successfully listed on stock exchange of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (now known as Nova Pharma Solutions Berhad) and obtained its ISO 9001 certification.
In June 2019, the Company has set-up a 51% subsidiary, namely, Nova HiTech Solutions Sdn Bhd (“NHS”), as part of the Company’s plan to further expand its existing business through undertaking of more turnkey or EPCC projects. NHS is expected to contribute positively to the group in the near future and will enhance the group’s capabilities in advanced technology facilities setup.
